I look for frequencies mainly, and I keep it at the highest resolution.

what does the image look like when a mix is good?

a mix that looks good by todays standards would look sorta like a diagonal line going from 10 o clock down to 4 o'clock .
high on the low end and low on the high end.

Load a track that has a good mix into Live, open up Spectrum, and see what it looks like.

I really like the "accurate and fast" preset for spectrum, though I switch the upper limit from auto to 0. Try listening to a lot of your favorite tracks while watching spectrum. there are definite patterns...

Judging a mix by what it looks like on a spectrum analyser is no different than judging a painting by what it sounds like hanging on a wall... This forum ain't gonna give you the answer.
