Live 8 Install - Missing Instruments

I have Live 6 and Live 8 and want to install them on a new Mac Book, keeping all the instruments/effects from Live 6, how do I go about this.

I installed both versions but the Live 6 instruments don't appear in Live 8, and likewise, Live 8 instrument don't appear in Live 6 (not too worried about that, though).

If I install Live 6 first and then Live 8 in the same directory, will all the instuments/effects etc be available in Live 8?

you should keep separate libraries for both versions..

you can use L6 presets in L8 but not vice versa..

what you can do is copy your L6 presets to the L8 library..

you can use L6 instruments in L8, no problem..

you can copy the presets from the L6 library to the L8 library folder..
