Saffire 6 USB
I am using a saffire 6 usb audio interface with Ableton live lite 8. I can't get my guitar to record on live. It doesn't have a signal. I have it plugged in to the input in the saffire 6 and set everything up. It might be just a stupid mistake but please help.
Re: Saffire 6 USB
are you sure you have your audio settings correct? make sure you select ASIO and all the other necessary things.
Re: Saffire 6 USB
Is the LED marked "Inst" lit on the channel you're using?

I think i know the problem. I need an adapter to plug my guitar into the inputs. So I'll try that and see if it works but thanks.
Re: Saffire 6 USB
use the 220v adapter for more power.
but seriously, plug it into input 1 adjust its gain, choose In 1 in track's properties, hit Arm button.
what adapter?

No you don't. I checked the Saffire manual. All you need is to be sure the preamp for the relevant channel is in instrument mode.ShawnStutlerMusic wrote:I need an adapter to plug my guitar into the inputs.

I am wondering which inputs you're trying to use, and what kind of connector is at the end of your cable.ShawnStutlerMusic wrote:I've tried plugging it into the inputs and it doesn't fit right though

I am using a regular guitar cable and the inputs on the front labeled 1 and 2.ark wrote:I am wondering which inputs you're trying to use, and what kind of connector is at the end of your cable.ShawnStutlerMusic wrote:I've tried plugging it into the inputs and it doesn't fit right though

I have a different problem now. I've recorded something on guitar on an audio clip. But i don't know how to convert it to mp3. Is there any way to do that on live lite 8?

No export as wav or aiff and import into itunes and convert in there.

Ok but i can only seem to export one audio clip. I have two. One with chords and one with solo stuff. Is there any way to combine them or export them both at the same time?

Re: Saffire 6 USB
you get the option to record the summed track when you select export audio.
