DRUM RACK "Purge unused drum cell"
i initially wrote this to ableton privately and they were into the idea
for DRUM RACKS
purge unused drumrack sound(s),
this would work well for those of us who have large drum rack libraries, there may be 100+ sounds but we only use 5-8 of them, the ability to purge the unused sounds in a project would make the loading time much easier and have your live sets running much smoother.
how many of you have to wait for all of these samples and buffers to finish loading before you can get to work on your projects??
of course if there existed a function for just selecting all of the drum cells the way you can select a bunch of clips it would make it pretty easy to delete, but for now you have to delete one by one! its madness!

I'd use it frequently.

+1. This doesn't seem like it'd be terribly hard to do.

So when you select multiple tracks from the expanded drum rack group in the tracks panel, right click and select extract chains... thats not what you're looking for?
I have different drum sounds on each note for a sampler in a pad so i change sounds via pitch. If there were a way to purge the unused ones there that would be great, doesn't seem like thats what you were asking for but if it was..

god this would make me happy. each drum pad of mine usually has 128 samples of which i use one. so if i have 6 pads worth of shit, i could have over 700 samples for one drum loop. needless to say it takes a while to load a project like this.

Are you using sampler 128's? this is my problem, I have 8 or 16 sampler128's loaded and eventually once I pick my sounds I'm only really using 8 samples.. HUGE waste of space, ESPECIALLY if you're using collect all and save for you projects.memes_33 wrote:+1
