New Seattle Group

Post by catfishwhiskers » Tue Jul 13, 2010 2:57 pm

Any interest in a new ableton user's group in Seattle area? Looking to meet up with folks to perform and record with, as well.

Really? Just the indomitable Tarekith and one grom (all due respect), in Seattle? Wow...

Really? Well if we're that small of a community, I'll volunteer my houseboat in Ballard for the first meeting.

Just got my wireless xbox 360 controller interfaced with live last week...SIIIIIICK.

What are good times for you guys, how long do you want to spend, etc.

I'm not to the level where you'd learn much from me, but I'd be interested in learning and hanging out when my schedule allows.

There was a pretty active group for a while, what happened to that one? I'd be interested in hanging with other users also...

Talking about Live on a houseboat in Ballard on a summer evening sounds just about perferct!

Haha!(I'm tired of LOL) No offense taken. Definitely new in this game. I had to look up "grom," even. However, neither young nor good at this yet. Would be fun to hang out and learn. Evenings are good for me. 6:00 on. I don't think my brain could save more than a couple hours of new stuff at a time.

The guy throwing kept losing venue's, and got super busy with his job I believe.

I could be in, depending on the place and time.

I live up in Kenmore and have a week-day job.

Alright, let's look at the first or second week of August on either a weeknight or weekend afternoon.

How's that sound?

Sounds good to me...
I vote for NOT Capitol Hill because of the parking challenges it presents.. Fremont/Ballard/Wallingford might be good.
But I guess it all depends on who has space.

Actually... I might be able to get a space in Redmond.... but Seattle is certainly preferable.

I'd be down for some Live houseboatin'. None of my friends are into electronic music. :?

Can we keep it in Seattle? I'd be arriving by moped.

I would come if it was in the evenings and not in Redmond, unless we're talking an 8PM start.
Not down with eastside traffic! Pretty much anywhere in Seattle is crap for parking.
PM sent btw!

First half is pretty booked for me, but I can catch you all next time. Good to see a group getting going again.

Yeah, I really do not want to subject anyone to the Redmond drive, it's a nice space, but probably not worth the trouble.. That's a brutal stretch of road, I do it 10x a week :(

I prefer we do it in North Seattle. Must be a space somewhere.

If I get a new bulb for my projector, we could do it almost anywhere.
