Just got the C++ runtime error within 5 minutes. Sent you the Bug report. This is getting silly. I have to restart my computer every time i want to change sets.

Hi Emissary
Here is the Ableton support advice I got when suffering from this problem, I re installed Quicktime and it seemed to sort it, hope it helps

'Microsoft Visual c++ Runtime error!' message can have several reasons:

1. Disabled network connection

- If you have disabled the network adapter, chances are high that this will cause this error. The network cable doesn't need to be plugged, but a present adapter seems to be required in order not to bump into this bug.

2. Quicktime [may have gotten corrupt]

-Uninstall Quicktime and install latest Quicktime version

3. Vst-Plugin

It might be one of the VST plugins that causes the crash.

-> update all VST plugins to the latest version or remove/insert one plugin after the other from/to your VST folder to find out which one is the culprit.

Alternatively rename your VST folder temporarily.

right well,
1) i never have my network adapter disabled
2) I have Deleted quicktime
3) disabled all vsts

Got the error this morning after all day yesterday not having it (thought those steps had cured it). Pissed off to say the least

Did you reinstall the latest quicktime version?

On osx Quicktime handles a lot of the audio formats. I guess on windows it may at the very least play a role in the video and audio conversion processes in Live.

About quicktime: personally Live's always been working fine without quicktime for me.
my guess is that you only need it for other filetypes then wave and maybe video.

I keep getting crashes when using the Artillery 2 VST and have been contacting support with a few bug reports with out any help.

To reproduce I simply load the VST and play audio into it. As soon as the tempo is tapped Live crashes...

Is there anyone else reporting this?

I'm aching to use its new features in my live set!

try to reinstall it...(artillery I mean...)
then 'rescan' the vst folder in the prefs.
live 8.1.1 did this to me with some vsts...
I'm not even installing this beta out of FEAR...
I want an official version that works!
