Beta of upcoming bugfix update: Live 8.1.1b1

we just released a beta version on the next bugfix update, Live 8.1.1b1
Every Suite 8 and Live 8 full version owner can use that beta.

- appears to have fixed the Acid Pauli set bug (http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=130812), or at least reduced the CPU by 50%!
- and it's only around 100MB download - nice!

Hello,

one thing behaviour I have noticed that bothers me - within a drum rack, when you expand it in session view and select all tracks, you cannot drag all the faders down at once (unlike when you do this with normal tracks). Do you have any plans to remedy this?

I just tried it in 8.1.1b1 and it seems to work.

Does installing the small updates actually work properly for Suite owners now? I'm fed up with
bouncing back and forth; I'd had the coloured splash for a long time when I did a full Suite
install again with 8.1, because I'd only installed the small updates, as per instruction.
When I did the full install now, "Suite" would only start in demo mode on the first launch -
works fine now, but all that confusion is simply getting frustrating.

It may seem silly, but I want that grey splash screen, and I don't want to do a full install
every time an update is released.

Yesterday, just after praising Live ("fast! reliable!") to a singer who came to my studio it crashed nearly every second vocal take. Embarrassing

(Of course I didn't send the crash reports.... was sweating blood trying to record all the vocals in time)

Just subjectively: 8.1.1b1 seems slower on GUI and in general dragging&dropping. Some definitely GUI bugs too... will post in the support forum... Hasn't crashed on me yet though...

Not surprising -- I'm pretty sure the betas keep detailed logs of what's happening for debugging purposes.

im running 8.1 it was crashing and having all the problems everyone else is having. i just donwloaded beta.

now beta expires on the 8th of december.

the problem with that is im playing live on the 10th and 12th of december. 3 of my songs will open up with 8.09. but the other 2 were editing with 8.1 with all the problems. the beta is working right now, but i need it to work for the 10th and 12th. anyway to get an extension on the beta version?
