yeah i agree. especially helpful when soloing a track and you still want to hear your reverb / delay effects on the returns. would be an added plus for sure.

Yeah, I agree. Quite irritating to have to Click on a few buttons before you can actually hear what you're trying to SOLO.

Yes, please!! Could not believe that such an essential feature is not there in V4!

To be honest, the "Ctrl-to-solo-more-than-one-track" thing is a bit unsafe too... yes, I know I should really just get used to Ableton's way of working, but wouldn't it be safer if "exclusive" solo were on the Ctrl-modifer, rather than the other way around, in a live context? Or at least make it an option...

go to Live's preferences, then Misc tab, then deactivate the Solo button for the Exclusive setting. You can also do this for record.

Now will no longer need to hold down Apple (Cmnd) to solo or record multiple tracks.

hope this helps!

I still would prefer to see a Solo-Exclusion with the Ctr-Key as suggested by Sly One. It really makes my life hell all the time to add the FX return when I press solo. (yes I ALWAYS want to hear the FX returns when I press Solo)
