NYC/Dubspot Tour: Come show us your Live controllers

Post by peterkirn » Wed Jun 17, 2009 3:08 pm

Hey everyone,

We're having a free party at the wonderful 675 Bar in celebration of the Dubspot and Ableton Live 8 tour in town. That means beers and controllers (hopefully not getting intimate with one another.) Got an unusual controller for Live? Hacked up your ReMOTE SL into pieces like Moldover? Some boutique hardware you've got that no one has? Built your own device out of arcade buttons / cardboard boxes / Arduino and sensors? Running your live set with a webcam?

We'd love to see what you've got. I imagine we can also get some Ableton swag to give away to the best entries.

I think I may have inadvertently intimidated people with the post on CDM:

-- because we're still short on entries. So let me put it this way: if it's cheap and hacked together, we love it. In fact, there's still time to build a $10 foot controller:

or, um, do it the deluxe way:

Hope to see you there. I'll be, at the very least, showing my phone control of Live with Android; hope to have that available for download at the same time.
