[amo] recording clip deletes modulation
[amo] recording clip deletes modulation
to reproduce:
in an instrument rack, set an instrument's chain to any value.
create a midi clip in arrangement and set its chain value modulation so that the instrument is played.
loop the clip and record anything, the chain modulation gets deleted over the recording period.

Re: [amo] recording clip deletes modulation
Hi,
Is it what you're doing?
- You have an empty looped clip in Arranger, the clip is unrolled so that you can see many loop iterations in the Arranger.
- OVR is ON.
- You arm the track, turn global recording on.
- Start the transport inside this clip.
- Record some notes.
With this scenario, the modulation is kept in the new clip for me. With OVR OFF, not, of course.

Amaury

yes, that's what i do, except that the arrangement is in loop mode (the loop is over the midi clip).Amaury wrote:Hi,

i'm not sure, but i think the problem occurs when stopping the recording and live consolidates the clip over the loop.

Hi,
Are you sure Overdub is ON? I still can't get the Chain selector modulation to be over-written..

Re: [amo] recording clip deletes modulation
i can't reproduce it either.
i'm sure i had that yesterday.
on a side note, the chain enveloppe window doesn't have any horizontal grid lines.

Re: [amo] recording clip deletes modulation
You mean the envelope editor, in the clip detail view? If I select "Instrument Rack/Chain editor", I can see the horizontal lines.peeddrroo wrote: on a side note, the chain enveloppe window doesn't have any horizontal grid lines.
