Request: Render to MIDI file

Currently independent MIDI clips can be output as MIDI files: Great!
I'd like the option of selecting MIDI tracks in the arrangement then outputting them all as a single standard MIDI file. Much like Render to disk, but for MIDI.
Reason: I use Live as largely a scratch pad in the studio (obviously differently live). I'd like to be able to export all my VSTi orchestration as a SMF that I can then load into a different DAW later on. I like to finish my work in DP once most of the layout has been done in Live.
Thoughts? Am I missing something?
