I was listening to Nina Simone
she was singing 'It Might As well Be Spring' and I couldn't help but wonder how can something that sounds like this come to an end.

Nina Simone- amazing.
Somehow she strikes me in her relationship to jazz like Lou Reed is to rock- coming from a totally different place than her contemporaries, a really individual and special place of long suffering, outsiderness, raw intelligence, and the peace that comes from full self acceptance.

Yes, absolutely an amazing woman who lead an amazing life in every way...
She once shot at her manager when he tried to cheat her for some money. Fortunately she missed. But pretty cool, in a East Clintwood kinda way...
I bet that interview can be found on youtube or in BBC's archives... She's a good storyteller as well.

I'm a big fan of that style, reminds me of a live album from Aretha doing a live concert in Detroit. Similar Mood .AMAZING Stuff
