A Question on disk usage in Mac OSX.
I would like to see a breakdown of what is using the space on my hard drive.
I have a general idea where things are coming from, but would still like to see a graph maybe detailing what the hard drive is holding.
I dunno, maybe this should be much simpler to find, I just can't figure it out.
Thanks for any help.

Disk Inventory X - I found it a little hard to figure out the results at first, but it makes sense to me now.weeddigger wrote:I would like to see a breakdown of what is using the space on my hard drive.
I lost a load of hard disk space unexpectedly once, and when I fire this app up I quickly saw a massive square and was able to track it down straight away.

Re: A Question on disk usage in Mac OSX.
Thanks for the info guys.
And Vakis,
open a finder window, look at whatever folders you want to calculate, hit apple + J, a window pops up. Seclect what you want to see in your finder window, then go from there. Some calculations take a while, depending on the size of the folders.

Hey there. Who took the jam out of your donut today?SubFunk wrote:It's in tiger as well, let's start lesson one... Learn OSX...
I did some more investigating and it seems that the Calculate All Sizes option is only available if you use List View in Finder. I don't - and I'm betting there are other people in the world who might not either. So maybe you want to join me in lesson one.
