That's what I do . . .
I move files between the two **all the time**. I have lots of 3rd party plugs, too, so I've gone with stuff from smartelectronix, etc., that's cross-platform. I often perform with the PC running Live and the Mac running video or another audio app (like Logic).
And incidentally, I love the M-Audio 410. Sounds great, reliable, easy to carry, and I saw it between my Mac and PC for gigs.
