this is lame, i know)
on PC your audio is stored in wavs
on Mac you have aiffs, but i'm pretty sure it can eat wavs too)

will there be any hassle moving projects and wave files back&forth?

just a quick "no" will ease my mind

PS: also can you recommend a free wave editor / converter to mp3 for Mac?

Should be no problem.

You can use iTunes to convert WAV to MP3.
