Audio stutters

Post by Zettt » Wed Apr 30, 2008 7:00 pm

Hi,

I got an issue with Live. Running the app results in audio glitches and stutters (from time to time) They sound like the ones you know when a harddrive is just too slow.

Could it really be that my HD is to slow? I never had any problems with it.

In this particular situation i wanted to use Live in a DJ situation...until the audio glitches came.

Could Mac OS 10.5 be the problem? Any help would be great!

Thanks in advance

Is the "D" indicator in the top right-hand corner flashing?

Do you get the glitches if you switch your Mac Airport off?

Exactly the same for me, I am on 10.4.11, 10.5 is not the problem :( It seems that too much samples can Kill Live7...

that starts happening to me when i've got a lot of stacked clips.

i find it helps somewhat to put the longest clips in RAM mode.

maybe try that?

also, turning the airport off makes a huge performance improvement for me (since the airport upgrade last month)

Apple messed up the airport upgrade and that didn't help and with Leopard being a new o/s there are more wrinkles to be ironed out as is always the case.

At my work, where we have hundreds of networked macs, we went back to Tiger for a time because of gremlins in Leopard, but we reverted back last month as the glitches seemed rto be mostly ironed out.
