9) Number of playback tracks? 8

Edit... But now when I try again, my mac won't play all 8 tracks without sound issues - now it will only play 6 tracks at a time.... weird...!?

So yesterday I upgraded to an MBP:

7) Soundcard: MOTU Ultralite

Massive improvement. Lush :D

With the Live 7 demo I get 59%. Everything else as above.

What the hell is the effin problem!??!? i just reformatted my brand new 72k hard drive. Set up basic XP tweaks. made sure hardware specs are up to date etc. I really don't see why my performance is shitty. Can someone please help me?

Good point. But maybe it's my processor that is causing me to suffer? Can't think of anything else because all my other hardware is upgraded.

well, if they didn't state "performance improvements" in the list of fixes, i wouldn't expect any... errr.... performance improvement.


to OP: i think the Turion might be the cause for your bad performance. it's kind of a low end processor.
