How do I get the MIDI editor to display drum names?

Post by J_McEnroe » Tue Jul 27, 2004 5:29 am

Hey. Say I load a copy of Impulse, in the midi editor it lists the drums names instead of pitch names, but if I try to get the same view for say, battery, they show up like the pitch names. Is there a way to toggle back and forth between the two? I cant find it in the manual. Hopefully someone has the answer!

I think you'll find it's a trick of impulse.

battery doesn't have the hooks to do this.

wow really? Thats a real drag. Im pulse is pretty nice and I could probably use that instead of battery sometimes, but it would be nice for Attack if one could just name the pitches ones self. Maybe in the next update.

I think it would be up to the plugin to report any information like that. Given Attack is dead I don't see that happening.

How is it up top the plug in? I dont care if I have to type it in myself, I just want to be able to get the piano roll to disappear and be able to double click on "C#5" and type "Kick Drum." You can do it in Cubase and it has nothing to do with the plug in.

that's a shame. what about via re-wire? for example can live's piano roll show the drum names for the reason drum machine? i'm pretty sure cubase sx can do this.
