Yamaha DX100 seeing as this was a...

4 operator, 8 algorithm FM synth then surely it should be easy to recreate the sounds used on this little beast in Operator? Specifically the Solid Bass and Wood Piano sounds used in many a classic house/techno record (Orbital - Chime springs to mind)

anyone had a crack at this - before i dig my DX100 out and start staring at the little screen?

Hi Mosca, if I remember correctly this one had 12 bit converters. I would try the 8 bit sine wave in Operator. But you will never get exactly the same sound. I would keep the DX100 and sample the sounds from it. I sold my DX27 (which is the DX100 with normal sized keys) some years ago and I really miss it from time to time....
