New Melodyne Plugin & Live?

Post by TheAnimal » Thu Dec 07, 2006 8:46 am

I just got a message from Melodyne saying that they now have Melodyne available as a plugin. Has anybody tried it with Live already?

And what is the workflow like? Is it like an editor?

Actualy you must record on it.Lets say you have a bassline in Live, you open the plugin in the same track where you have the bassline, then you record this bassline in melodyne. To me is a little like audio editor but not realy,it is dificult to explain cos my english is bad.But i tryed with a drum loop, you have all the parts from the the loop cut in to little hits, then play with the pitch- volume...............
I think is beter if try it your self.
I will check it again when i have time.

That sounds almost more complicating than an external editor (Melodyne uno). If only we could get the darn edit button back ...

what do you mean by "the edit button"? i use melodyne uno as an external editor with no problem (it's quite seamless) using Live 6's "edit" button... you just right click on the little waveform in clip view and choose "Manange Sample File" which shows you where all your samples are, highlighting the one present in clip view, with and "edit" buttons for each sample...

it's disappeared already from the public consciousness. It really existed in the past tough.
