tricky vocal chain

Post by beamsville » Fri Apr 14, 2006 10:59 am

can anyone help me with this brainbuster?

I want to use a pitch correction plugin (for example, Yamaha Pitch Fix) to create an effects chain that does the OPPOSITE of ducking.

In other words, have a chain that somehow only allows the signal through when I sing on-key (ie, rarely).

The tricky part is that that I don't want to hear the pitch corrected part... I want to hear the raw part, but only when the raw part is close to the pitch corrected part.

I imagine that maybe Utility could help, but there is also the problem of latency of the pitch correction vst.

Machinate, I missed buying you a beer at Kid Beyond because of the crowd, but the coupon doesn't expire.

Cheers
