Been using Ableton for a while now, currently using version 5.0.3, however recently it seems to have slowed right down.
Everything still works however when mixing just two tunes together the CPU usages indicator keeps spiking at 50% to 60% when previously it would of been less than 10%. The level meters for each channel seem to stutter, the previous smooth interface is now quite jerky. Even when idle with just Ableton running and no audio output the CPU load keeps peaking up to 20%! Never experienced any issues like this before.
Any idea whats wrong and what I can do to remedy it?
