I'm not an Antwoord fan by a long shot but the word of mouth on the movie is that it is good. Much better than Elysium.
What tickled me about the email exchange isn't Ninja's silly posturing but Sony's blandly polite reply

That’s setting the bar pretty low. Again, he’ll get a free pass on many movies to come all based on District 9.

Which as a Science Fiction flick was pretty bland already.
(I know, it had a great and important political message and all that, that still made it no less of a bore as a movie though)

Yup Elysium was horrible. But I will keep an open mind for Chappie.

Now I know a third person on the planet who didn’t like District 9. I thought it was just me and this guy in Michigan. I never walked out of a movie so pissed off. I wanted to re-watch it solely to fill a notebook listing all the
and
moments.

I didn't hate it, I just found it meh.
Definitely no reason to make the guy a SciFi hero.
But then I didn't go to the movies to watch it either. I might have been a little more annoyed had I paid to watch it.

I thought eh too, but I did really enjoy it when he got in the suit and felt bad when he was getting shot.
I have an open mind for Chappie; as long as I get some attachment to Chappie or I can empathize with Yolondi's attachment (assuming she'll be like a mom and Chapie ends up getting ripped to shreds) then it's good enough for me. I NEED TO FEEL AGAIN

I think what upped my annoyance is I lost a movie selection coin toss. If I won we would have gone seen Inglourious Basterds instead.
If I would have watched District 9 at home I would have just fallen asleep 5 times before the middle of the movie and then called it quits.

I heard they try to teach Chappie to be a rapper. Um.

The reason they didn't get him is bcuz they were just not on his Level.
*drops mic*
*picks up mic, makes sure it's not damaged*
*blows dust off of mic*
*carefully places it into holder on stand*
UTENZIL a tool... of the muse.
