LaunchpadStepSeq does not work

I'm sure I am the last to know, but I just tried the LaunchPad, Live Suite 9.0.3 and LaunchpadStepSeq. I get the round lights on the right and the bottom row yellow light runs across the 8 steps. It plays the same note on each step. But I cannot set a note on a step or change to any of the modes like Velocity, Note Degree, Octave - none of these change the display like the Novation tutorial video.

Does this work in Live 9?

there are imho, better launchpad sequencers out there than the novation one

two very solid!
