Yeah so I just got an e-mail from my boss
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

i just found this video from Mr. Devine messing up with stutter edit and...
don't know if it's the plugin or his expertise but to me it sounds musically better
than other reaktor ensembles i'm used to (finger, buffeater etc.).

I never seem to hear the stutter effect applied in a subtle, backgroundish way. Fading in and out of an overall cool groove. Or acting as a background percussive sound. It's always INYOURFACE.

no.. I think you're right.. I have, however, applied it to a kick drum and got some pretty crazy lazer sounds..
but still, INYOURFACE, but they're not just typical crazy nervous stutter glitches

Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

Nice post THANKS! Funny part about this video is when he first starts using the filter and his mouth is moving in motion to the sound of the filter. I do that all the time. I bet I look really funny when I am in deep concentration making sounds.Moody wrote:Reminds me of this video Mr. henke did over 4 years ago.

But I realize some people consider that behavior a genre.

I'm trying to resist the temptation to buy this.. but when I imagine how the next version of Maschine will have vst hosting.. it kind of makes me cream my pants. (and I am not joking)

I bought it. A nice addition to beat repeat, livecut and supatrigga. Gonna use it my way, and not over everything.
(Except when that new artist Glitch Pack makes a stunning debut onto the breakcore scene... /jk)

Re: BT's Stutter Edit is out
Been playing with the demo and it is pretty fun. However so many of the presets just sound the same. I can see a lot of mindless glitching going on out there with this thing. But like I said before, no worse than what already happens with beatrepeat etc. Effectrix is still my fav, but this could be put to good use in addition. I'm not sure it's worth 150 though. Certainly not 250.

One thing is certain. If you're seriously sitting on the middle of the fence on buying this you're going to be a total moron if you wait until it goes up to $250. I don't think anybody feels it's worth that price. Better start doing some serious soul searching to push yourself over the fence one way or the other.
Since I'm an Apple fanboy I'm just going to buy a new Mac every 10 days so I can continue to just use the demo. SCORE!

True 250 is a hell no. I hope they enjoy watching their sales plummet to nothing after the intro period.beats me wrote:One thing is certain. Pitch Black.. please post your own video to show how this plug might actually be used with taste and artistry.
Buying this glitch-plug just seems wrong... isnt the whole ethos of FSU too punk to support pop-capitalism.
Maybe send the poor drummers of all the classic breaks a slice of that $250 instead?
Funky drummer got the shaft by everyone and BT.
