Sampler Improvements with 8?

Post by ScholarlyGent » Mon Feb 08, 2010 3:56 pm

I'm running live 7 with Sampler but I would like to do more "hiphopish" (sorry for that embarrassing term) sampling. Sampler has always been great for sound creation but I've never found it ideal for quickly sampling and programing longer beats and loops. Time stretching, for instance, has always been very unintuitive (for me at least). Have there been any changes with live 8 to make it better suited to beat sampling?

I just saw that Ski Beats video of him slicing up a track... thats what I'm talking about! Never knew that was possible!

Still not as good as recycle for slicing, or just about any other slicing beat slicing vst/prog. The reason for this is stated in my sig.
ctrl + left/right = select transient

ctrl + shift + left/right = select between transients

ctrl + space = play selection
