Anyone installed on Windows and timed how long it takes?

8.05 was far too long, don't think I'll bother just yet if it's the same with 8.08.

I like the version number though.

i guess it will install very fast on my ssd.. but on the hdd based systems, might take a while..

I don't think it's anything to do with the access / write speed of the drive. Just something weird Live does when installing on Windows

Installed it is almost 200MB larger than 8.05. Why the inflation?

well, as it does install much much faster on an ssd, it looks like it has to do something with it

OK, I'm sure it will make a difference. I suppose what I should say is how long does it compare to a Mac install? There seemed to be no complaints there last time but on a PC I could probably install Windows faster than Live.

well, vista from usb stick to ssd: 7 min

ableton live, haven't measured.. fresh install as well as update, couple minutes.

ableton live (suite, that is), on an ordinary desktop with an older 7200rpm disk: took around an hour to update last time (haven't yet had the time for 8.0..

The usual request: it would be great if the installer didn't keep installing Live Packs for instruments I don't own. Since going through all the betas it's been over 12 times now that I've had to sit and wait and watch the installer install Analog, Collision, Electric, Tension, and then first thing I do when it's finished is go to uninstall them again. It's not a massive problem, just an annoying little thing that I constantly associate with beta testing... A more efficient install of only the instruments I have actually purchased might encourage more people to use the betas...

Please consider this for 8.0.6b1/8.1b1 - thanks.

Great to have the bank change 'splash' back on thw Remote Scripts.

Took no time at all to install Suite 8.0.8 on my (5 year old) PC. Can't find what they've done with the initial splash screen graphic files though, just when I'd got my own version coloured up nicely!
