Re: New Warp Engine

I agree with you both. The new warp does not allow you to be as exact as the warp in version 7. Part of the problem is that the transients are always a bit off (too early), so I have to go bar by bar and use the "set warp marker" function to set the marker in the right place. That takes to...

New Warp Engine

Overall, I like the update. But I'm having trouble understanding why the new way of warping? I'm not sure what it adds other than confusion (at least for me). Is there a way to toggle between the "old" way of warping and the "new" way? Although I like the fact that complex pro is...

A few good features of BPM: the "rack system" works well. Aside from 4 pad banks, you can stack on virtual racks that allow you to play key's, as well as samples. You simply load a synth sound, or pianos, whatever, onto a rack and you can play it with the piano roll editor (which appears r...

I've been playing with BPM for a bit now, and it does what it's supposed to do well. It's essentially the same as Guru, except for the slicing. Now, it is true that there is a round-about way to slice audio (i.e. I think you can select a portion and drag to a new pad), but the auto chop feature shou...

Kb4 - of the two, BPM has the better library, but neither have anything on Battery and NI. That's why the Maschine might be a good product. The Guru library is average at best, although Goldbaby makes some decent kits for it. Either way, for me it's a workflow thing. I have much more fun making musi...

I have it. It's not that great at all. It CANNOT slice audio files. It only allows you to play pre-sliced (e.g., rex, apple loops) files, that's it. It's crazy that in 09 a product comes out claiming to be a sampling drum machine and it cannot slice a sample! I'm sticking with my MV8800 and Live 7. ...

Thanks, Weed. I get that far, I know that the rewire is working, but I'm having trouble setting up the busses and getting the audio from Live to record into Logic. Any advice would be great.

Rewire Logic 8 and Live 7

Sorry guys, I posted this 3 times (by accident) in the "tips and tricks" section, my bad. Here goes: I've searched the forums, but I cannot rewire Logic 8 with Live 7 (Live as slave). The Ableton support is showing a different Logic version, I think, because the options it shows do not app...

I've searched the forums, but I cannot rewire Logic 8 with Live 7 (Live as slave). The Ableton support is showing a different Logic version, I think, because the options it shows do not appear in Logic 8. Can somebody walk me through the process? I'd like to work on audio in Live and then record tha...

Loading non-NI Vst Plugin Sounds into Kore 2

Hi, I asked this question before, but I'm still having trouble (thanks for the help machine, much appreciated). In Kore 2, I want to have the sounds from non-NI vst's show up in my browser. People have told me to simply load up the vst and "import presets." However, when I do that, nothing...

Machines - so do I have to load the vst interface (e.g., plugsound pro) then load the sound I want within PSP? Is there any way for the PSP (or any other vst's) sounds to appear in the browser without loading it first from the vst interface? Tx.

I just got the software edition of K2. I really like it. However, how do you access the "sounds" of non-NI vsts (e.g., Ethno, Stylus)? Since these don't have presets, I can't import anything. How can I add the sounds to the browser in K2? Appreciate any help, thanks fam.
