Re: LETS FACE IT LIVE 8 IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE ON MAC
10.5.8 w/ Live versions up through 8.1 on Mac Pro, solid. 10.6 and up with Live through 8.1 on Macbook, solid. I did have a huge headache with live being very slow and and seemingly causing crashes of everything.....but interestingly, found that I had a bad memory module and Live was the only progra...

Re: Charlie May from Spooky bags the Ableton Sound Engine
Top producers and engineers worldwide are constantly preaching that the number one industry "secret" to a great audio mix is their constant discussions and arguments on summing engines. It is becoming more and more obvious that good song writing, musicianship and engineering have very litt...

Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
Ok, this page serves as my inspiration....kenporter's studio and fobicafa's cat are my new benchmarks.
In the meantime....just getting my hands on an APC40, M4L and replacing a few dead Cichlids in my fish tank will have to do.

Re: Recomend me a "book" for mixing.
A good mix book is Bobby Owsinksi's 'The Mixing Engineer's Handbook (2nd edition)' which is a more accessible read and gives great details on building an arrangement, use of FX, panning, depth (reverb/delays), delay charts in m/s, instrument sweet spot frequencies, plus loads of interviews with top...

Re: ableton live got week legs?
Comparing Live to Reaper....wow! If you really want rock solid stability than everybody knows nothing beats Windows sound recorder. I especially love the simplified feature set, more time JUST MAKING MUSIC! (features are so overrated!) Using Sound Recorder You can use Sound Recorder to record, mix, ...

It seems like there's a bunch of retarded people on here..so it makes me feel right at home. :P I extend you another welcome to the forum. It makes a good "group home" of sorts....every once in a while somebody makes something nice in the hobbies and recreation room, but a lot of the time...

I'm sorry but just like I couldn't relate to or understand the rants of a certain person I will keep anonymous and refer to simply as "Mr. X".... I also do not relate to those who speak of these huge issues with Live 8 versions. That is not to say that I haven't had a couple of plugins tha...

Re: Ibanez electric guitar?
My most used guitar is an Ibanez GR 520 (ghost rider) that I found in a pawn shop. If you could find a ghost rider under 400 bucks it might be the best money you ever spent...I have seen them go for that on ebay sometimes.
Lots of good options, I would watch pawn shops for a while.
