Re: Orgin of the Loon sample?
Apparently it's "originally" (until the bird's lawyers get in touch) from an Emulator II library disc. Disc #22 "Wind Chimes / Birds / Streams", Patch 02 - Bird Stream. YES! I knew that someone here would have this extremely obscure bit of information stashed in there tech nerd ...

Orgin of the Loon sample?
OK so what is with the Loon sample that has been used in Techno, Jungle and D&B for the last 20 years? I have heard it about a million times and have always wondered.
Anyone here know the origin of that sample?

Re: VST Processing plugins
There are so many that it is hard to just recommend just a few but here goes. Neve 88RS emulation from UAD. I use this on every single mix I do. It is responsible for almost everything that does not need some type of special flavor. Other must haves for me are the Slate Digital VCC & FGX. I also...

Re: Record quantization midi mappable?
I am going to have to say no. You can change the resolution of the grid and quantize settings in a clip with key commands but not change the record quantize. Cant say I know where the right place to send a feature request is.

Thanks Tarekith.
You can check out this link http://youtu.be/TkvqICDR3q0
It is the installation instructions for another rack I built. Just watch the first couple of min. The installation instructions are basically the same.
In short open the session and drag the rack into your library.

Re: Semi-Pro Monitors
I use the A7's and they provide great detail in the highs. The mids sound great as well and they do have a very precise sound stage but I find that the it often fails to translate well to other speakers. They also have a rather annoying hump at around 200Hz. This all sounds pretty bad but in the $15...

The Green DJ EQ = New Free DJ EQ Rack
Hey All Just put this Rack up on my site today and it is free for the taking. The big feature with this EQ is the way the gain is setup. When the Macro is set to to the maximum position there is a total gain of 6dB and when set to the minimum value there is about 90dB of cut! What this means is that...

The Green EQ Rack - Analog Flavoured EQ For Live
Hey all I just finished building a serious EQ Rack and wanted to try and get the word out there. In short the Rack is emulating one of the most sought after analog channelstrip EQ's out there. I had been asked to make a channelstrip Rack by some friends. The first step was the EQ and this is the res...
