sorry to say this, but to improve performance you might have to get a new soundcard....the os x drivers are shite for the 410....I got rid of mine...got a 2nd hand motu 828 for bout £200....way better, doesn't crush the system outputting to a soundcard. I have a gig ram also....it makes a huge diffe...

as it stands live 5 has no major stumbling blocks other than the fact that i'm always max out the cpu on my powerbook too early into a track. temposync reverser plug in.

you can assign a key to 'reverse' and punch in a reverse at specified length on the fly....it will achieve what you hear in the hawtin clip....

scratch the 410 if you have a mac, it'll eat up all your processing power....

motu or rme are the tops on macs

motu can be cheap second hand.

motu 828...great card...latency 12ms I think...on quite heavy project too...not too bad, especially since i was using the 410 before...anything is an improvement on that.

don't bother, just program it manually from the front panel, once you get into it it's easy enough.
