Re: Tascam US2400 Mixer - setup & configure with Ableton Live
1- When first configuring the Tascam, I am suppose to chose between 5 different control surface modes. Which works best for those working with Ableton? (1- Mackie HUI, 2- Sonar, 3- Digital Performer, 4- Logic or 5 - 'Native')? I use Aux2 with Ableton8 and Ableton9 but I'm still investigating other ...

Re: Can M4L print a locators name as the playhead passes over?
Tone Deft, Thanks for your help and encouragement. As well as the tip on "Copy Compress". I was wondering how people were doing that, haha. I have a thread over on the Cycling74 forums which is turning into something really cool. Just incase you wanna check it out here's the link: http://c...

Re: Can M4L print a locators name as the playhead passes over?
Thx Tone Deft. Let me know what you find. So far I've only been able to get the Marker/Locator/Cue Point name via a button push or a number selector. I have a feeling the "observe" function will work to do what I need it to do, but i'm only just learning Max. Here is a screenshot of what I...

Can M4L print a locators name as the playhead passes over?
Hello, I asked this question over on the Cycling74 site but wanted to ask it here also. I'm working with video in Ableton. I'm setting locators in specific places where something important occurs in the video. I'm also naming the locators related to the occurrence in the video (i.e: explosion, gun f...

Re: Mackie HUI Issue (Ableton Suite 8.0.4 + MacPro 8 core)
Hi longjohns, I tried your suggestion to copy the Mackie script from Live7 into my Live8 folder. Unfortunately, the US-2400 stopped responding all together. First I made a backup of the Live|Content|App-Resources|MIDI Remote Scripts|MackieControl folder on to my desktop, then I copied the same folde...

Re: Mackie HUI Issue (Ableton Suite 8.0.4 + MacPro 8 core)
Yes it's simply toggling ch1 solo. I was including the other solos in an attempt to be as descriptive as possible. I'll try your suggestion to copy the Mackie HUI script from version 7 to version 8, good idea. I'll post the results.

Mackie HUI Issue (Ableton Suite 8.0.4 + MacPro 8 core)
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue. I'm running Ableton Suite 8.0.4 on my Mac Pro 8 core. I'm using a Tascam US-2400 for my control surface. I've been using Live since version 4 and have been using the US-2400 with Ableton since version 7. The Tascam is running exactly...

Edit Keys On The Piano Roll - Note Names
You know how on the piano keys in the piano roll view you'll see the audio key (letter) and octave (number)...ie C5, C6, etc. Is there a way to edit those? For instance I need to change "C5" to read "Green". You can do this in Sonar (YUCK, sorry), they call it "Note Names&qu...

Thanks a million
there are a few ways to work around your problems--have you tried to change the warp type--try "tones" or "textures" and try messing with the various parameters. I find that most of the time that changing the warp modes and adjusting the settings, I can get the audio to sound fa...

Audio Scene Creation
Here's a change of pace. I have decided to give Live5 a try as my main app for creating audio scenes for games. I am presently working on a WWII tank battle. I have many assets (tank treads, machine guns, distant explosions, etc) none of which, by nature, have a BPM property. I have two assets thoug...
