Re: DJ'ing and Ableton :: Warping / BPM Question
You don't warp your tracks to a specific BPM. You warp your tracks so that Live knows the BPM of each track. Then when you play them, they will play in time automatically.

Re: Having rewire issue with reason 7!!!
If Live is not able to see Reason via Rewire, then make sure that you are running both programs as either 32 bit or 64 bit. If they are not the same, then Rewire won't work. It's likely that you're running a 32 bit version of Live so you'll want to run Reason in 32 bit as well too. If you are on a M...

Re: touchAble Mini: Ableton Live control on iPhone & iPod touch
This looks really cool. Is it possible to use this in conjunction with Touchable running on an iPad as well? I would find it very handy to use the iPhone for a few dedicated things like transport controls

Re: The obvious question: mu vs touchable
Thanks. That clears things up a bit for me. I'm just going to hold off in the meantime on this whole Lemur thing and see what develops. It should be interesting though

Re: The obvious question: mu vs touchable
Probably easier to make sense of all of this in terms of who developed it and when. Mu came shortly after ST8's LiveOSC and before LiveControl. Touchable came after LiveControl and was based on it. The Clip editing in Griid was done by ST8 and came after Touchable. Making Mu one of the most outdate...

Re: Controlling Reason Devices Using Live's Macros (Mac OSX)
Midi Yoke is Windows only, but you don't need it because OSX has a built in Midi bus called the IAC driver. http://www.thecovertoperators.org/Videos/the-iac-driver-osx Check out that video for some more info. No idea how to set it up to do what the video says, but best of luck. If you have MaxForLiv...

Re: Who ever had to revert a timemachine backup ?
Because i m paranoid. I wouldn't really worry too much about upgrading your OS. Apple did a smart thing with OSX: the operating system files are kept completely separately from your user folders. So even in the dramatically remote chance that something screws up when you're upgrading your OS, all o...

Re: Who ever had to revert a timemachine backup ?
I had a full harddrive crash last year and used Time Machine. It was actually really awesome. You don't even need to reinstall the OS. You just fire up your system and boot off of the OSX install disc. Then once you partition that disc, you can really easily restore from Time Machine... there is an ...

Try recording out onto a cassette deck, and then record the tape back into Live. It will add some nice tape saturation.

Would like to sync the Live library across mulitple macs
I have been using an iMac for the last few years as my main production machine. I just recently purchased a Macbook Pro and would like to use this for some on the road production. What would be the best way to keep my Live Library and samples and plugins folder in sync between these two Macs?

The Live Intro content does not come with the Suite version of Live. But if you want that content, you can buy it for $19 from the Ableton Shop

Re: Putting an instrument rack into a drum rack?
There are several ways to do this, but I think the easiest is to have each drum hit on a separate pad, then take one of the pads and drag it over onto to the other, but make sure you're holding down Command if you're on a Mac, and I guess maybe Control if you're on a PC, but I'm not sure. This will ...
