Re: Saving MP3 as WAV for use in Live
In Sound Forge, whenever I save as WAV the file size increases around ten-fold ... unless I resample down to 8khz but then the sound is bad. Is this a limitation of WAV? No, it's an advantage of mp3 files, if you will: mp3s are compressed, which means worse audio-quality, less space. It is perfectl...

i still do think that this behaviour can be streamlined though.....it's strange that midi information is recorded while a midi clip is playing and the track is *only* armed.... I agree that this is somewhat of a compromise, but if you think about it, normal operation entails some kind of switching ...

Re: not track specific
Have you tried exporting these midi clips ? - and are they saved with all the clip envelopes Yup, worked like a charm! I'd say this approach is definitely more useful for the global and structural changes than for applying automation to individual tracks. I think I'll do a folder with cc sweeps on ...

Re: results of digging deeper.
Hi Steve! Excellent job on this! The beauty of this is that it is independent of triggering clips and scenes, so you can create all sorts of envelops that you can trigger at will . Even better, you can save these as part of your template and build on them as you go. I guess if you wanted to trigger ...

Re: triggering auto-fades with keyhits?
automating a fade-out or fade-in would be of great help, since i am dealing with a lot of files to play, and think it would be physically impossible to do more than one fade at a time unless i had a midi controller. Hey Kipling! I gave it a try and here's what I came up with (there are probably a m...

Has anybody had clocking problems with live 4 on the pc platform? It'd be interesting to know. I slaved live4 to a doepfer schaltwerk today - rock flippin solid. I could do pretty steep tempo changes without too much hassle. And the schalt is even said to sync very badly, I tried it once with Logic...
