Is there a way to prevent that all clips stop playing when toggling main record off after recording a clip please? Or did I miss something?

What you have missed is to set the monitor to On for this track I guess...

Levelling is definitely an issue, especially in live perf. Normalize samples, compress (wisely) synth outputs, you have already done 90% of the job

I don't know whether to go with my old analog mixer + uc-33 + soundcard + mouse setup and use live, or just use Cubase SX with the 01x. I´m pretty well off with my 01x. Welcome to the club, Robb ;) I hope you enjoy your 01x, and also the plugins that came with it. I´d be careful with the faders problem, as I suspect it doesn´t do any good to the motors. Either dont assign remote out in Live prefs, or filter out incoming pitch bend messages. See you on www.01xray.co...
