Working in arrange with 2 monitors is a horror (dragging often stops working). It's not cool having to work with just one monitor.

Subject says it all: is there a keyboard shortcut for expanding and collapsing tracksin the arrange window (the thing you usually do by clicking the triangle with the mouse)?

If I have clips only in the arrangement (not is session view), these clips ar not visible when I browse the saved als file of this song. Why is this?

Subject says it all: as soon as an arrangement reaches a certain point, I can't see the clips while I copy them. Usually clips are visible while copying/dragging them, because you want to know where you put them ;-) Why is this gone, and how do I get back seeing them while dragging? Thanks in advanc...

Indeed, it's the use of the SATA disk that seems to create the problem. This Asus board is definitely crap.

I'm just trying to do my first mix with Live on a rather new PC (the Athlon64 with Asus board). During playback I have drop outs and glitches with both the Saffire and the internal Nvidia driver, working on a SATA drive. I've already worked with several (huge) buffer-sizes, but still having drop out...

Probably it's easy and I just havn't found it yet: is it possible to save or copy a complete channel strip in Live? I don't mean just the fx, but also the I/O settings.

Havn't tried that, but: AFAIK there can only be only Rewire Master at a time, how did you get around this? Did you erase the Rewire libraries?

Thanks buchnaner for that question, I've been asking that a few years ago, and got only strange replies... While it's true that Logic is at least the wannabe king of audio apps (Protools is), it is in many situations easier to work with Live (working with less than 50 tracks in an arrangement) IMHO....

I agree, I just asked how this works in the general forum, but apart that workaround, there doesn't seem to be a way. An hey, I'm coming from 12 years of Logic, I don't want workarounds again.
