Gavin Timlin is a music producer, DJ and experienced sound engineer, and has been teaching at Ableton Certified Center, CreateSound, since 2011. Besides making his own electronic music, he has produced and released remixes for various Irish and international artists. He also continues to use Ableton to run music-making workshops in multiple outreach contexts such as refugee camps, prisons and disadvantaged communities.

Gavin has performed using Ableton in multiple Irish venues and at festivals like Electric Picnic, as well as hosting a local radio show for a number of years showcasing Irish electronic music. He originally trained and worked as a studio engineer in Manchester, then returned to Dublin to set up his own music production teaching company. He transitioned to Ableton Live in 2008 and now uses it for all mixing, mastering and DJing.
Gavin and his team at CreateSound moved all their courses online in 2020 and are open to anyone internationally. Classes are run in small groups in an online and interactive format.
