JK started producing music in 2001 for his own projects, as well as for various independent gospel rap artists. He started using Ableton Live in 2009 and it turned out to be the first piece of software able to tear him away from hardware units such as the Akai MPC 4000, Roland Fantom and E-MU sound modules.

JK has consistently trained people on using various pieces of music equipment and has always enjoyed helping people with technical issues. His IT background enables him to clearly communicate even the most complex of topics.

In 2009 JK started SoundsAndGear.com, along with his YouTube channel, as an online outlet for product reviews, demos and tutorials from a producer’s perspective, which continues to be a trusted source of audio technology information within the industry.

JK has released audio training courses through his own websites, and has authored courses for companies such as CreativeLive and Lynda.com.

In 2015 he created PushTutorials.com as a dedicated online training resource to help producers, beat makers and musicians harness the power and creativity of using Ableton Push in their production setup.

JK is available for private lessons, workshops and group or classroom sessions.
