EIC 2 Woodwinds Repair Tool

Ho there,

there's a bit confusion and I'll try to sort that out.

The Live 7 Boxes and the first Live 8 box (the one with Live 8.0) hat the
issue for which this thread was initially created.
The problem here was that the Woodwinds.alp was to big which makes it
impossible to install it on Windows.
Therefore the "Repair Tool" was a Windows only tool.


Now, some users have problems with the Woodwinds.alp of the second
Live 8 Box (the one with 8.0.1). We'll investigate that and hope to
solve it soon.
If you run into that problem please let us know which version of Live,
on which computer and on which Operating system you use.

Im on a macbook pro OSX 10.5.5 and am experiencing this problem. Purchased the Ableton 8 Suite (boxed). Any fix for the mac version?

Ah, I should've checked the forum first before pulling out my hair.
Just received the Suite 8 box this weekend and realized how big of a library you guys threw in here as I am about to finally finish with my install process. Well, aside from the EIC 2 glitch, everything seems to have gone well.
Now, I need to go download the repair tool & finish up installation.
I do have to agree a little hint from Ableton somewhere in the box package regarding the issue would've been nice...even an email message to registered users or something. All in all, I've found my way here so no harm done...but still could've saved me some time & headache.

As some of you already experienced, the Repair tool would not fix all broken Woodwinds package.

my woodwinds file is corrupted but when i use the repair tool it says its already repaired.

Does it need repairing? Apparently the issue was only if you were on a Windows platform.
