2 Vista Issues - Preview Scrub'n & Drag/Drop of Live Packs

hi all,

Here's two questions for all the Vista users...

1) Has anyone else (apart from me) found that they cannot scrub through the preview of any files in the browser? I've tried all sorts of combo's - warping/on/off, Raw/on/off, with/without .asd file. Basically the preview scrubbing feature does not work for me. Which makes me very sad.

and...

2) Has anyone else been unable to drag&drop a Live Pack file from the desktop to lives window (apart from me)? I can drag them from Live's browser window into Live, but when I drag and hover from the desktop, I get a "no-no" cursor.

Interested to see if any other Vista users have this, or maybe I have a buggy build?

Concerning Nr. 1 on Preview Scrubbing, but that isn`t Vista Specific:

In the record/warp/launch tab in prefrences... Auto-warp long samples has to be turned on. I had the same problem.

Thanks, i'll try that when I get home (work now no Ableton...).

Shouldn't I still be able to scrub through audio if the RAW button is enabled (ie. no warping applied)? I will have to wait and see if this setting works.

As far as i realised there is no way of Scrubbing Files in Raw-Preview mode, which is annoying since every normal n cheap wave Player is able to do this

Though i am not able to test it right now, since i am at work.

I know this obviously won`t help you.

Thanks magestro, well I tried it last night and you definately must have the "Auto-warp long samples" enabled in order to scrub.

As far as i realised there is no way of Scrubbing Files in Raw-Preview mode, which is annoying since every normal n cheap wave Player is able to do this

I agree, this is a little lame, would be so useful to just scrub through normally.

Documentation was a little unclear on these issues. Oh well.
