I just bought a copy of Live 6 and installed the 6.0.3 update hoping this would solve the problem, but in hasn't.
Although im not sure it is my FireWire card causeing this problem i though it would be good to post the problem anyway.
I load one audio track, drag a sample onto it, drag a Powercore Plugin (any) on it, and i just plain try to "consolidate" the sample.
Boom, lights go out, computer crashes to reboot, data lost and most of all if this happens to often my computer could fail to boot, it's a bad thing...
This problem goes for freezing an audio track as well.
The main reason why i'm pretty sure the problem lies with ableton is the fact that this only happens on a "audio" track, MIDI is just fine, ain't that weird ey...
I've read more posts about this issue, so i tought i post it.
