Time signature changes
I had a sequencer in teh ealry 90s, I can't even remember the name, but it ran on an Atari STe and it could change time signature inside an arrangement. It's kinda nuts that AL, as phenomenal and advanced as it is, can't do this. Perhaps it has to do with tehRealtime warping. Can Acid change time signatures mid-arrangement?

It's the one thing that bums me out about Live. I just bought it after trying it out since it's the first DAW I found that supports the way I write music. However I hadn't tried anything too fancy and hadn't found out about this limitation.
Most of the music I write has several time signature changes and the lack of this capacity is severly limiting my creative process. There are some workarounds/kludge but native support for time signature changes would be great.

100% agree! Now that the video feature has been implemented in v6, adding Time Sign. Changes really would make it a Soundtrack Composers dream.
If Ableton want any piece of this segment (i.e. soundtrack composers), they absolutely have to implement time signature changes.
Implementing just the video part is, albeit nice, pretty inconsequent.
exactly! what's the point of having video if you can't change time signatures? that's pretty much a staple of film scores. i couldn't tell you one movie soundtrack that doesn't have time signature changes at some point, you have todavec1 wrote:100% agree! Now that the video feature has been implemented in v6, adding Time Sign.
