Hi everyone !
I’m looking for an app that could listen my music + add metadata on my track + create playlist without moving tracks from their original folder.
I explain : I’m Mac user, a composer, & I create a lot of tracks from long years now.
Tracks are archives, albums, mixed, wip or just ideas in different folders in my computer.
I used Meta to add metadata to my music.
I use Dropbox to send that music to my clients.
I used - and still use for different reasons - Wetransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, Mixup, Disco, …
Quite often, my clients asked me for specific music and for now I didn’t find the perfect solution.
So how dive efficiently to my tons of music without losing hours to scroll ?
I would like an app that I could listen my tracks, add metadata and classified them (=playlist) but without copy them or move them out from their folders and I don’t want to use any cloud service.
For now, it could be iTunes the best but I subscribe to Apple Music so my library is mixed with the music that I listen (+ it copies to iTunes folder so not good for me).
Did you have a solution for me ?
Thank you.
Jfi

Re: looking for app play + add metadata + create playlist
Thank you fishmonkey.
I have AudioFinder but it doesn't have a real metadata system (just tags).
