I just used two MIDI tracks from the sample provided, the acoustic guitar track and the lead vocal track, unchanged, except shortened a little.

Each of these 4 pieces use the same MIDI tracks, but different instruments and effects.

I used Alchemy, Kontakt, FM8, Reaktor and 2C Aether. Each piece is a different setup.

Well, the title is better, but now the names on my entries look stupid.

New Year's peace: A cool, icy fragment to help slow down global warming.

This is dedicated to Urs, the one most likely to influence the sale of Intel processors in 2012.

It uses only Diva as the sound source, plus the same two MIDI tracks as the others, just different automation curves.

How about a bit of culture -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QsRDpsItq0 <- Plenty of raw material to work with - can't beat a bit of Prokofiev

For me the theme would have to be a piss take of some of the genre obsessive shit this year, e.g:

Christmas Brostep

Chillwave Christmas

or maybe fucking horrible ass hipster trap shit
? XXMMAASS ? 88OO88 ?

I did think of doing a dubstep Troika (TroikaStep?) as I think the main riff would work well as a wobble.

Maybe one of those half n half mixes that starts as dubstep and then goes drum & bass.

EDIT: Just found THIS on YouTube...
