96000 samples per second vs 44100 samples per second
you see the logic why the latency would be less? ie if your buffer is 256 samples and you tell the machine to process 96000 of samples per second.
And yes it will do more work yet still try to maintain lower latency.

i dont have any problems with TI2 desktop on 8.0.4
i do have the newest TI software 3.00.3
i had some problems before that version but after installing AND reset ( hold TAP tempo while power on ) it was OK

Get both. Arduino is very good for testing / rapid prototyping and then move it to the Midibox for a final 'product'. Actually, I was thinking about the other way around as midibox is strictly non-commercial and if I build something cool that someone wants to buy, it really needs to be Arduino-base...
