Hi I've not used this but it looks like it might do the equivalent of the LH tools in windows.

Re: recomend a program to run visuals with LIVE
JAM2 looks really cool, especially the tempo sync. Is there anyway to distribute this process over 2 laptops as I'm thinking I would have a laptop dedicated to audio on stage and a laptop for visuals, probably rear of stage. Does JAM or any of these apps for that matter handle synchronising playback...

Re: seq~ in maxforlive help/ideas
Very interested in this. I started to make a midi looper with seq but found it real tough as I couldn't seem to record and play at the same time I ended up trying to use 2 seq's and feed them into each other, mixed with performance midi. It got a bit messy so I sidelined it. Didn't realise seq~ coul...

Re: Ableton just for electronic music?
I use it just like you mentioned. electronic drums then I add guitar and bass. the electronic stuff is written about a lot because it's more accessible and can be much easier. some of those guys never bother to learn an instrument. don't underestimate Session View. it's great to lay down different ...

live.thisdevice - is loadbang now obsolete?
Should we no longer use loadbang for M4L patches? I have a few old patches still using loadbang, should I blanket replace them with the live.thisdevice?

Observe New channel created
Is there anyway for a patch to 'know' when a new track has been added? I'm using M4L.api.selectTrack.maxpat to get a track index and save it to the set. The problem is that adding new tracks breaks the link. I'm thinking of storing the trackname and then running some function to resolve the ID, thin...

Is it possible to refer to tracks by name rather than index?

Re: Nice new M4LAPI effects, great but flawed?
I'm using a bpatcher for each of my nobs. So how are you getting the correct units there? I guess I should open your patch and have a look :) I understand that renaming might currently be technically hard, but if you to a ctl-R and rename something does that doesn't break things as far as I know. Yo...

That's a shame. I hope that is something that is addressed in future versions.

Re: Nice new M4LAPI effects, great but flawed?
Is there a way having the numbox or even a live.dial change it's unit style or name (Long Name or Short Name) at runtime?

Re: Nice new M4LAPI effects, great but flawed?
Currently debating whether to use live.remote~ vs live.object. I have a patch that automaps 8 dials to the 1st device in a given rack chain, when I use live.remote~ it crunches the whole sound up. I am having to use the delay object to map each dial, one at a time, in staggered fashion. I find I don...

Re: change live.dial unit type based on slave parameter
Master as in the dial that is In control ie the dial who's value is being sent into the left input of live.remote.
