Re: Live's new audio to midi feature.
Hi guys, There have been some awesome points made in this thread. We're already thrilled that Audio to MIDI is helping our early testers in their creative work - but the suggestion that this feature could help people with disabilities just made my day! Here are a few points to clarify (although most...

Re: Take notes from Bitwig
Hi Leipies, It seems to me that we're not doing anything differently than Bitwig. Just like them, we spend a lot of time working on the next version (the first in their case), and when we feel we're ready, we announce it and then it takes a little while before the actual release. For 3 years, Bitwig...

Re: [frs]Memory Corruption detected (0x5e)
If you experience problems with 8.1.4, please use
the "Report a Bug" feature in Live's Help menu and
send us the bug reporting pack. This will help us
figure out what's wrong.
Thanks,
Carl

Re: Live 8.1.1 "serious" crash - with NO RECOVERY?
Hi Doppio, I would suggest you leave the sample files where they are - they are most probably fine (you can always check with another sample editor, just be sure not to overwrite them). What we can maybe fix is the structure of your document. This should not affect referenced samples, so it's import...

Re: Live 8.1.1 "serious" crash - with NO RECOVERY?
Hi guys, Very sorry to hear that the recovery doesn't work! We know it feels horrible when you just lost hours of work. But maybe it isn't lost ! Please have a look in your Preferences folder. Whenever Live restores the document from the previous crash, it copies that document and the undo history t...

Re: static initializer not called.
Hi Tyler,
You should re-install Live from the installer, or upgrade to a newer version.
Your executable file is being modified between sessions, which strongly suggests
that it has been contaminated by a virus.
Cheers,
Carl

Re: [frs]Memory Corruption detected (0x5e)
Hi guys, Thanks for reporting this. Like Friedemann said, it looks like the executable file gets corrupt. We would like to figure out if if it indeed what happens, and if so why (virus, hard-drive failure, etc). Could you guys try to locate your Log.txt file and [url=mailto://carl.seleborg@ableton.c...

Re: [5534] copy protection violation? thanks for that
Fellows, This thread is getting disturbingly far from helping us solve the problem, which we take very seriously, and as Dom said we're working on it. But because these copy-protection violations are very obscure by nature, the higher the signal-to-noise ratio in this thread, the better our chances ...

Re: [5534] copy protection violation? thanks for that
Dear friends, Although I agree that it is hardly acceptable to see such a message box when you've bought Live, it happens from time to time that the crowd shoots the messenger a little too promptly. As you know, plug-ins are pieces of code loaded into the host's memory space and executed there. If t...

Re: Live 8 Suite - authorization again after already authorized
Hi Peez, We're aware of the problem and working on it. In the meantime, I would suggest that you unlock once for every configuration you will work in, possibly using off-line unlocking if required. Live will keep all those authorizations, and select the appropriate one each time. Send an email to su...

Re: live 8 autorisation bug
Really strange. Actually, Windows Explorer (the file manager) has an option to hide known file extensions. I forgot that even the properties page does not show the extension if this option is activated. Would you mind checking it, just to make sure? In any Windows Explorer window, go to "Tools&...

Re: live 8 autorisation bug
Hi vektar, Could you check the file's properties (right-click on the file and select "Properties" at the bottom of the context menu) and verify that the extension is really ".auz", and not something like ".auz.txt"? It could happen that the browser somehow adds the exte...

Re: Can someone from Ableton please answer this post.
Jarvisimon, Have you read the many posts from people who have paid for their upgrades and found them unuseable so are reverting to 7? Sort of defeats the object of upgrading altogether so I feel more than sorry for them especially if they're going to have to wait for ages before it's any good. Yes, ...
