Re: Using Your Own Launchpad User Pages in Live 7?
Thanks, I'd forgotten that trick for bringing up my own User maps. Unfortunately Live is still choosing to ignore the mappings in favor of it's defaults or something. The top left Launchpad button is being assigned to C-2, working up the keyboard as you move across and down the Launchpad, which isn'...

Re: Using Your Own Launchpad User Pages in Live 7?
Ok, not actually working. I can keep the automap editor open by using the Launchpad in native/non control-surface mode, but the mappings I have open are not working, Live is still taking over the user pages to its' default behaviors. Funny, the Automap notification popup tells me that my mappings ar...

Re: Using Your Own Launchpad User Pages in Live 7?
Ah, nothing like figuring it out 5 seconds after you post, lol. I just had to get the preferences right, turn off Live, replug the Launchpad to bring back up my user page, and restart Live.

Using Your Own Launchpad User Pages in Live 7?
Hi, is there any way to stop Live from taking over the User pages 1 & 2 when launching? I set up some cool automap pages that I can use in Reaper, etc., as the Launchpas isn't possessed when using a DAW other than Live. It would be cool to still use the Session page on the Launchpad, but with my...

Why does Live not respond to midi cc's in trigger/normal...
...mode (high value sent by controller, nothing sent on release) sent via buttons? Every other host I've tried responds just fine. This is for unassigned midi ccs sent straight to a VST, not midi-mapped in Live. I have to set buttons to "Toggle" mode on my controllers to get them to work i...

Re: New ambient noise song up - "event horizon"
Suffers from overlap, imo, as all of the elements are drones, they end up obscuring each other. Could be your intended or generative goal, of course, but I would've liked some shorter sounds to add interest. My 2 cents from across the West Hills in Beaverton.

Re: new electronic track
Breakbeat Industrial, perhaps? Once the synths kick in I'd prefer that the kick and bass lose the distortion because the two together dominate the track in an unrelenting fashion, making you look at the track length of 7 minutes wondering if your ears can tough it out (I stopped at 3:30).

Re: [Downtempo House Music] [WIP] New Beginnings...
I like the percussion and pumping strings. The bass is good, but very deep -- I'd maybe add something a little higher up frequency-wise for people listening on regular headphones/cheaper speakers as they may be missing it completely. I think too many elements have stereo widening or ping pong delay ...

Re: Polyslax - Want A Piece Of Fish?
It starts off putting the "mental" in "experimental", lol, but then is pretty good background/ambient music when the piano kicks in.

Re: Tripnotic - downtempo, breaks, drum'n'bass
"Departure" -- glitchy trip-hop, some cool stuff going on there. On a production note I would've liked to hear more reverb and delay on some elements to add space and depth, as of course that's a big part of any music near trip-hop in style. But then again, maybe you were more interested i...

Re: Live 8 instruments in action - chilled out shit
The high pitched ping-ponging sound is completely out of tune -- conscious decision? Other than that an okay groove, but would like to hear a finished mix/master every time in the forum, personally.

Re: New track online - Etter Alltid
I for one preferred the guitars -- I thought the bassy synth lead in the second half lacked interest in tone and melody. I like the simple groove and melodic bassline of the intro. The first guitar drop is a bit jarring with the loop sustaining for many bars by itself, I'd have kept some rhythmic el...

Re: NEW KABELTON remix of Chose Chaton (Paris) and Dusty!!!
Some nice distortion on that first track, but perhaps used on too many elements as it kind of flattens the impact where more contrast would've strengthened it.
