Thanks for the replies everyone. I can plug my guitars into my duet directly, and don't have drums so I'm not really looking to record instruments with this mic... just vocals really. $100 is a ballpark, I could stretch a little bit more if it really stepped up the quality to the next level.

Thanks for the tips. The bass and drums are definitely very repetetive, they are only about 4 measures looping over and over.
