"Dummy clip" question

Post by rickyg2008 » Mon Oct 27, 2008 8:25 pm

Can you manipulate sample offset & transposition in real-time? At the minute I can only seem to automate clip volume & pan. Can it be done without recording the clip into an audio track?

Thanks in advance,

Ricky

For the offset, you could use a simple/grain delay with 100% wet and %0 feedback and automate the sync time to offset the sample, cant think of anything to help with the transpose of my head sorry

i wondered that, too, because would make live a great live fx box.

for pitch in a clip you can select a range on a midi keyboard to trigger the clip in a certain transposition. works great.
set live in midi map mode, press the lowest key (the originale pitch) and the highest key. You can pitch the clip to all notes in between.
